Mimi's Waxing Experience

Designed to minimise the ouch

There are so many things that can make waxing more comfortable, pleasurable even. See how we'll take care of you to make the whole experience fly by.

Your first visit can always be a bit daunting, especially if you haven't had a wax in a while. Which is why we take care of the details to help you feel ready for anything. Here's our six point checklist for every session, which we personalise to each of our clients' needs. 1. Talking We believe talking is the best medicine for most things in life! Waxing is not an exception. Keeping on talking can massively reduce any pain. But equally we understand that a good natter is not everyone's cup of tea, which is why we take a feel for whether you'd like to talk your way through a session or not. 2. Music Like talking, music can help get us through many things in life - break-ups, marathons, kids' tantrums... So we offer up a playlist of different genres depending on what kind of mood you're in. Whether that's a heavy metal or a gentle serene classical kind of mood, we'll help you into it. You can also play your own music through our bluetooth speakers. 3. Room scent Even though our ethos is all about regular beauty maintenance, we still want to make you feel special. Which is why we offer relaxing room scents to give you a moment of calm in an otherwise hectic day. 4. Quality wax We offer fair prices, but we aren't cheap. We want to provide the best possible outcome for you. So we use only the highest quality waxes: hard for extra sensitive areas; soft with gentle fabric strips for everywhere else. 5. Impeccable hygiene All our staff have been trained to the highest standards in waxing hygiene, so you can rest assured you'll leave us in tip top condition. This means no double dipping, full sterilisation of all implements and fresh towels for every client. If you'd like us to, we're more than happy to wear gloves and we can also provide you with disposable underwear. 6. Aftercare Straight after your wax we'll apply firm pressure, followed by a layer of Sudocrem. We've tried a lot of different alternatives, and we've found this is the best way to soothe and protect.
