How does it work?
Electrolysis uses a very fine needle to apply a gentle current of electricity to the skin. The approach taken will vary depending on the area to be treated but can involve either lifting or burning away (cauterising) the top layer of skin. We will discuss what to expect and how to prepare during your initial consultation. What does it feel like? You will probably feel a warm stinging sensation which is mildly uncomfortable.
Healing and repeat treatment
Depending on what's being treated your skin may need 1-4 weeks for any resulting swelling, redness, and scabs or crusts to recover.
Some skin conditions may need one or more repeat treatments, and we will advise on this during your initial consultation. What equipment do you use?
